Recipe for my favorite summer drink.

There’s just something special about this drink that @badcoverversion introduced me to. It’s magically refreshing and perfect for the summer. She says it’s adapted from a drink she had at The Coffee Shop in Union Square NYC. They make great mojitos (so I’m told) and this drink is like the mojito’s second cousin.

This is really just me talkin’ here, but go with

  • Ice
  • 6ish ounces vodka…have fun…be safe
  • some fresh mint—the fresher the better and don’t skimp on it
  • 6ish tablespoons fresh squeezed lime
  • 4ish tablespoons powdered sugar
  • some club soda, not too much, not too little

Squeeze your limes, add powdered sugar and drop your mint into a bowl. Mix it up, squish it up, do a little dance. Stop having a boring lime, stop having a boring life. Put ice in the glass, pour in your vodka. Add the mixture. Add in some club soda. Stir. Dance some more. Keep dancing, keep drinking and have fun.

And, yeah, I’m a little tipsy right now.
