Last night's late night TV wrap-up »
Gawker’s TV blog rounds up all the #TeamConan and @NBC bits from last night. If you’re at all interested in this stuff, I urge you to check it out.
Having watched all the clips, it’s plain to see how funny Conan, Letterman and Craig Ferguson are and how incredibly unfunny Leno is. Then there’s Kimmel doing a Leno impression and I’m not sure if he’s unfunny or if he was being unfunny becaue he was doing a Leno impression. I figure it’s the latter. No clips from Fallon, I’m sure he wants to keep his job.
I can’t say I’ve watched Conan’s “Tonight Show” religiously. It’s not been that great. He’s seemed watered down and neutered since moving into the spot. The show’s hit or miss, but over the past 7 months, never as good as he was on “Late Night.” But, man, when he’s ballsy and throwing caution to the wind, he’s as good as ever. I’ll be tuning back into the “Tonight Show” because it’s a return to the Conan of old. Even if he’ll only be there for a little longer.
