Ok so I'm having a really hard time figuring out what I want to dress up for Puerto Rico Comic Con. I'm blonde, white and slim and I want a costume that's orignal and not over played (like Wonder Woman, Princess Leia, Super Girl, Harley Quinn, etc).. I went as Babydoll from Sucker Punch last year and as a female version of Alex DeLarge from A Clockwork Orange the year before, but now I have no clue what to be!! Since you know everything I thought of asking you, do you any ideas of who I can be?

Loved it, duh. I’m a huge fan and supporter of Kelly Sue’s work and David Lopez is, hands down, one of the best artists in comics. Period.

Is it acceptable Disneybound at Disneyworld/land as Captain Marvel?

As many of you know, I’m curating a collection of t-shirts over at We Love Fine in honor of Carol Danvers, Helen Cobb, Jessica Drew and all the amazing women of CAPTAIN MARVEL, and donating my curation commission to the Girls’ Leadership Institute, to help foster and give voice to the…

Great comics + great t-shirts + Kelly Sue DeConnick = all kinds of greatness!

WeLoveFine is excited to announce that acclaimed comics writer Kelly Sue DeConnick (Captain Marvel, Avengers Assemble) has joined our MF Partners program!

Kelly Sue is curating a set of designs featuring characters from her titles, including Captain Marvel and Spider-Woman. She will be donating her curation commission for these designs to the Girls Leadership Institute.

I’m so excited for the Avengers: Endless War graphic novel by Warren Ellis & Mike McKone that my teeth hurt.

Real talk: Please go say hi to Kelly Sue and Matt at Emerald City ComiCon and buy a million raffles for these great t-shirts so the monies can flow for charity.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that we are doing a raffle with Kelly Sue DeConnick and Matt Fraction at Emerald City ComiCon, to benefit the Red Cross for Sandy Relief!

You will be able to purchase tickets (as many as you like!) for $1 at Kelly Sue & Fraction’s booth (J-13), and we will draw FIVE winners each for the Captain Marvel #9 tee featuring Jamie McKelvie’s cover art and the “I Heart Hawkeye” tee inspired by David Aja’s Hawkeye #9 cover!  Winners will be announced on our blog at the conclusion of the con.

Good luck, those who enter - we hope to see many of you in Seattle! (You can also visit us at booth #838-839; we’ll have these tees and many more!)

Kickass Captain Marvel cosplayer!

First real photo of my Captain Marvel that I wore at Ohayocon 2013! Not many photos yet. We’re going to be doing a big awesome photoshoot at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Museum/the National Museum of the US Air Force when it gets a bit warmer, since it is located less than 2 hours away! YOU GUYS CAN PROBABLY IMAGINE MY EXCITEMENT AND ANTICIPATION FOR THAT SHOOT.

Should also have pics of a Captain Marvel + Black Widow shoot by Lionel up in the next week or so~

Happy Thursday, Marvelites! We bid a fond farewell to current Social Media Coordinator Janna O’Shea with her last GetGlue update! But don’t worry, these posts and marvel.com blog updates aren’t going away. Check back next week for new Social Media Coordinator Kerry Fiallo’s spin on things.

Get the info on this sweet Captain Marvel #1 sticker and more in this week’s GetGlue blog…

You should watch this video of two comic book writers I really like—Greg Pak and Kelly Sue DeConnick—because they write great comics and also because they’re super nice. They talk about Kelly Sue’s upcoming Captain Marvel series, as well as Greg’s X-Treme X-Men. All of this? I’m very excited about it.

We’re premiering an upcoming Captain Marvel cover on the Marvel Tumblr later today. Get hip to that.
