Yo. This Skottie Young Groot & Rocket Raccoon tattoo is THE BUSINESS!
via fuckyeahtattoos:

Back in December, I sent you posted a picture of the outline and shading, so I thought I’d send an updated picture now that it’s all finished. After 12 hours and three sessions, my Rocket Raccoon and Groot (based off of AWESOME Skottie Young art) is finally complete! Thanks to Mike at West Side Tattoo (http://westsidetattoo.net/)in Colorado Springs for doing such amazing work!

Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz #1 Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz #1 Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz #1 Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz #1 Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz #1

I wanted to pick one panel from DOROTHY AND THE WIZARD IN OZ #1 to post, but I just couldn’t. So I picked five. Five great reasons to pick up the issue by Eric Shanower and Skottie Young, which goes on sale September 28, 2011.

And you should also read our latest Psych Ward article about the Wizard of Oz, written by Tim Stevens, “a Psy D candidate and practicum trainee at a community mental health facility and has experience in working with individuals dealing with PTSD.”

Also, I now want a book about cats written and drawn by Skottie. Like, a 250 page adventure story.

This is definitely the greatest thing we’ll have ever published.
This is a page from a Spider-Kitty story from the upcoming SPIDER-ISLAND: I LOVE NEW YORK CITY #1 (on sale in September). Story by Skottie Young, art by Dave Guertin and Greg Baldwin of CreatureBox.
I’ve read the full story (can’t post it all—you’ll have to buy the book) and it’s just absolutely terrific.

250 Pages of Great Comics for $6

Over the last week, Skottie Young, Chris Eliopoulos and Katie Cook posted some of their comics as low-cost DRM-free digital downloads. I bought ‘em all and loaded them on an iPad. Great stuff, highly recommended.

Download Misery Loves Sherman by Chris Eliopoulos

Download The Adventures of Bernard the World Destroyer by Skottie Young

Download Fuck You, Box by Katie Cook
