Me and WWE superstar Big E Langston. He and WWE’s Renee Young stopped by Marvel HQ during WrestleMania 29 week. I only got to speak with Renee a little bit, but chatted with Big E a bunch. I’ve been watching him on NXT a while and it’s cool that now he’s on both NXT and the main WWE shows. A few things:  1. Big E’s one helluva nice and friendly dude. No pretense, no weirdness, just a dude you could hang out and talk comics with. 2. Big E’s Twitter is probably my favorite of all wrestlers. He’s funny, smart, weird and engaging.  3. Big E loves Marvel. I mean, that’s not strange—so many wrestlers are also comic fans—but it’s still pretty rad.

I gots me a brand new Twitter avatar! The new image, at top, was drawn by the INSANELY TALENTED David Lopez (New Mutants, X-Men, etc.) and I wanted to share it here.

I also wanted to post all my previous avatars drawn by a quartet of truly amazing artists because…look at them. SO COOL. They were drawn by David Lafuente, Chris Samnee, Dennis Calero and MIke Oeming. I also included the sketches/concepts that David Lopez drew in coming up with the final pick. I would choose ALL of them if I could.

Last week, I gave a tour of Marvel HQ to Danny Pudi, who plays Abed on Community. We then recorded an episode of our This Week in Marvel podcast with him. Let me tell you, that Danny Pudi fella is SUPER DUPER nice and crazy funny and generally all kinds of awesome. It was super fun having him here. And in the photos above, you can see me showing Danny my absolute favorite piece of art hanging up in the Marvel NYC offices.

I like that you say “coming back in style.” LIKE THE DINOSAURS WOULD COME BACK ANY OTHER WAY. :)

I’d like land dinosaurs, please thank you. Then I could run in terror from them and, more often hopefully, feed them greens and veggies and pet them. And talk to them. And ride them. And hug them. Oh, dinosaurs.
