My spork collection has grown by three—and they’re all titanium! Got the best sporks ever, from Thinkgeek, including a Star Trek one. (I’m not much of a Trek fan, but this spork does the trick.)

I got to see a closed-door demo of the new Star Trek game at E3. It looks cool, has the look of the first movie (lens flares included) and really stresses the Kirk/Spock relationship. I’m not a fan of Trek other than the recent movie, but kinda psyched for this game.

What the hell is that thing on the left. That’s not Chewbacca. RAAAAAAAAAAGE!
I know little to nothing about Star Trek. I watched an episode of Next Generation with Alex a few weeks back. He’s like a Star Trek encyclopedia. I’m sure it has its merits, and all—and I liked the recent movie—but I just don’t have any attachment to it.
But, hey, Phil Noto draws one badass Han Solo. And that…Chewie-esque…thing…is neat.
UPDATE: I’ve gotten a few replies just moments after posting this from folks telling me that the thing Chewie’s mashed up with is Mugato from an old Star Trek episode. I like that thing!
“Chewie, set your phaser to stun!”
New leaked image from “Star Trek 2”! You’ve done it again, JJ!

First shot of “Precious” star Gabourey Sidibe in “Star Trek 2”! Very cool! More info at Gizmodo!
Uh, some guy made a Star Trek phaser…thing…which breaks stuff when used. (via @IronLycan) That can’t be safe. Oh, and there are directions to make your own at the YouTubez.

Sure, it’s not an actual line from the movie, but it’s a subtitle. And a damn good one at that.Use the Spocker!
Spock, paper, scissors t-shirt; $9 from @teefury. Oh Star Trek, I just don’t like you in that way.
Star Trek uniform baby onesies from @thinkgeek. Okay, yeah, that’s rather cute and I’m not even that much of a Trek fan. (via @BoingBoing)
Han Solo vs. Captain Kirk knife-fight t-shirt? I dig! By kilo232003 at Threadless.

Go to Threadless.com and vote for this Dark Side Story shirt design by kilo232003. Captain Kirk and Han Solo are about to throw down in a pen knife fight! My vote goes to good old Han coming out victorious. Who do you think will win?
“Trekkie Bro Power” by theGorgonist on @etsy. Cute and cool.
Dang, they’re starting production on Star Trek 2 early! First still looks promising.
Great manip or GREATEST manip?

Stathcard! I’d watch more Star Trek if Statham was the captain. Via Brandon Bird’s blog, where there are two more awesome Star Trek dream castings.
I rather enjoyed it. I’ve always had an aversion to Star Trek. The various episodes, movies and bits of movies I’ve seen did nothing for me. I didn’t grow up watching it as I did with Star Wars and it just seemed silly. But this new movie was fun, slick, pretty newbie-friendly and quite funny. I kinda want to see it again. Some random thoughts:
So, in conclusion, I now happily count myself as a fan of the Star Trek.
