Each 3DS will come with augmented reality cards like these. I played with the 3DS last month and the augmented reality stuff was actually way fun. More more more, I say! (via Kotaku)
The swag I got at last night’s SEGA event: a Virtua Tennis 4 sweatband and a Super Monkey Ball 3D Banana Guard. I’ll be honest, the SMB3D Banana Guard is maybe the best videogame swag I’ve ever received. I used it this morning. I’ll use it most mornings. I bring a banana with me to work and this will keep it from getting bruised and crushed in my bag while on the subway and walking the mean streets of NYC. Also, the games were neat.
My friend Vince is selling this Legend of Zelda faux stained glass window on the eBay. Pretty cool. There are more photos of the window here.
I got my copy of Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Special Edition. I wanted to share a peek at what’s inside, give away my free month of Digital Comics and share a cool bit from the game.
First, a few photos of the covers and inside of the awesome SE case:

Next, the free month of Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited. I have a subscription (obvs.), so whomever follows the directions on the photo below, snag that free month:

I don’t have one of the super-crazy high-end MvC3 arcade fighting sticks, but I DO have a Marvel Edition Versus Fighting Pad from PDP, which is an excellent alternative to the 360’s standard pad. And it has some rad Billy Tan SIEGE artwork on it.

Finally, I can check “Get a Special Thanks credit in a Marvel vs. Capcom game” off my bucket list:

Pre-release, it’s been Deadpool/Iron Man/M.O.D.O.K. When I get my own copy in the next few days, I’ll add Akuma into the mix and give Sentinel a whirl.
The Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Episode 4 trailer is all kinds of awesome! Go to Marvel.com to see screenshots of the first DLC pack and watch the final roster trailer.
Dead Space 2 is $40 today on Amazon. Even though I probably won’t play it for months, I may jump on it. Everyone says it’s amazing. What do you guys say?
Mohawk Storm is in Super Hero Squad Online. I’m in the private friends and family beta. Gotta get to playin’!
I was always intrigued by SimLife and wanted to play it when I was a kid. I mean, LOOK AT THOSE THINGS! Somebody needs to make a SimLife 2.
SimLife: The Genetic Playground (MS-DOS). Maxis, 1992.
Way stoked! I’m actually (barring anything crazy) going to the launch event next week in San Francisco. I can’t believe the game’s almost out! INSANITY!
Sorry, can’t divulge any DLC plans—or lack thereof.
Sony just unveiled their new handheld gaming system, the NGP (Next Generation Portable, probably not its final name). I’m actually pretty psyched for this. I like the PSP and this looks like a cool evolution. Need to get my mitts on one.
With NGP we carry on this rich history of redefining industry standards and raising the bar for consumer expectations for what portable gaming can deliver. Designed to blur the lines between interactive entertainment and reality, the NGP will offer Wi-Fi and 3G network connectivity. The 5-inch OLED front multi-touch display will bring brilliant images to life and the multi-touch pad on the rear will allow users to engage with the game and characters with a simple movement of their fingertips. Additionally, services created specifically for NGP will be available on PlayStation Network. These services are designed help users take their gameplay, as well as interaction with other gamers, to new levels.
- Multi-touch 5-inch organic light emitting display (OLED) as the front display
- Multi-touch pad on the rear of the device
- Dual analog sticks
- Two cameras (front and rear)
- Software titles on small, dedicated flash memory-based cards
- Three motion sensors, gyroscope, accelerometer and electronic compass
- Wi-Fi and 3G network connectivity
- PlayStation Network access, including ““LiveArea™”, “Near” and “Activity” log features Trophy Support
- NGP will be able to play PSP titles, minis, PS one classics, video and comics from the PlayStation Store.

What do you guys think?
I saw that! Huzzah! I’ve purchased Plants Vs. Zombies twice (Steam sale, iTouch), so I don’t know if I’ll buy it AGAIN, but for anyone with an Android phone who hasn’t played it? Must-buy.
I can’t say I’ve heard anything on that end, sorry. If you can make it out to one of the remaining Fight Clubs or any MvC3 events, you can demo it there! But, really, a demo isn’t needed. It’s that damn good. IF I hear about a demo, though, I’ll post up info here and on the tweets.
